An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Legal Assistant to join a conveyancing department in a well-established law firm. This full-time role offers excellent benefits and a competitive salary.

As a Legal Assistant, you will provide comprehensive secretarial support, including word processing, typing documents, and managing correspondence for fee earners.

You will be responsible for:

  • Attend to client interactions, both in person and over the telephone, ensuring messages are accurately recorded and promptly delivered.
  • Maintain and organise client files, including accurate filing, storage, retrieval, and the opening of new files.
  • Coordinate appointments, meetings, and diary management for fee earners, ensuring schedules are up to date.
  • Handle outgoing post, photocopying, and general office equipment usage efficiently and accurately.
  • Perform reception duties and assist with basic banking tasks.

What we are looking for:

  • Previously worked as a Legal Receptionist, Receptionist, Legal Secretary, Legal Administrator, Legal Assistant, Legal Clerk or in a similar role.
  • Strong typing skills with accuracy and speed (minimum of 60 wpm).
  • Excellent command of English grammar and spelling.
  • Proven ability to transcribe audio dictation and copy type effectively.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Word and Excel.
